This moment in time was captured during the Seret family’s six-month road trip across the United States, taken before they chose Santa Fe as home. While visiting White Sands, Ira unrolled one of the family’s special Afghan dhurries on the dunes, where Sylvia and one-year-old Isaiah — dressed in a quilted tunic made from Afghan cotton — played together in the vast, white landscape.
