Tibetan Mindfulness Meditation

Designed to ease the mind, and prepare the ground for insight and wisdom, mindfulness courses offer the opportunity to develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, and insight into the nature of being human.

INSIGHT + MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness, while wildly popular, can be traced back to the historical Buddha, Siddhartha as its founder. Here at the Spa of The Five Graces, we honor this lineage, as a living tradition, by offering our guests a direct experience of this practice in its undiluted form. Through our unique partnership with the renowned meditation center, Thubten Norbu Ling, The Five Graces is honored  to invite their experienced facilitators, to offer both complementary morning meditation practice (see weekly schedule) and private mindfulness meditation instruction in Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

SAMPLE SESSION:
  • Introduction to mind, meditation, its purpose and benefits in the context of Tibetan Buddhism. (approx. 15 min)
  • Guided Tibetan Buddhist meditation— This begins with ‘mindfulness’ (shamatha) or ‘calm abiding’, and may also include meditations on; the nature of the mind, motivation and dedication. (approx. 20 mins)
  • Conclusion and Q&A time to deepen the teaching and ask your questions. (approx. 10 mins)

This is a great way to ‘learn to meditate’ or find support in deepening your existing practice.

  • Book 45 Minute Private meditation instruction
  • Book Intro To Tibetan Mindfulness (Three session course over three days)
  • Complimentary Drop in Class (see schedule in lobby)

*All proceeds from these programs will be donated to support Tubthen Norbu Ling and  their local non-profit meditation center.

**For those guests, who wish to extend their spiritual journey beyond their stay at The Inn we encourage you to talk to your instructors or visit  The Buddhist Center online.

The Buddhist Center, aka Thubten Norbu Ling, is a Non-Profit Buddhist teaching center under the care of the FPMT organization (The Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition). Founded in 1975 by Lamas Thubten Yeshe and Thubten Zopa Rinpoche, who began teaching Mahayana Buddhism to Western students in Nepal, the group has grown to encompass over 160 dharma centers, projects, and services in 37 countries.
